Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Bhavnagari chilli, seeds removed and grated
- 300 grams Sugar
- 1/2 cup mawa
- 1/2 cup Desi ghee or as desired
- 1 teaspoon peppermint powder or cardamom powder
- 2 spoons chopped dry fruits
Steps for Making Green Chilli Halwa
- Cut Bhavnagari chilli, remove seeds, and grate it.
- Heat Desi ghee in a pan.
- Add grated green chillies to the heated ghee and fry.
- Once chillies are roasted, add mawa to the pan and fry.
- Add sugar to the mixture and stir well.
- When the halwa starts reaching a desired consistency, incorporate peppermint powder or cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits.
- Serve the halwa hot.
Recipe Notes:
- Adjust the quantity of Desi ghee based on personal preference.
- Be cautious while handling Bhavnagari chillies, as they can be very spicy.
- The halwa is ready when it reaches a consistency where it starts leaving the edges of the pan.
